Description:

Hello, On August 23, I got approved for a 10 picture photoshoot at Hibachi Express Restaurant in Jacksonville. I immediately sent an email to the contact person, Anna, asking her to reschedule the photoshoot because the appointment was made for the day before I received the confirmation: August 22. Anna never answered my email. Having thunderstorms expected in Jacksonville on September 4 and 5, I called Anna on September 3 and we rescheduled the 10 pictures photoshoot this day at 6pm. I drove 1.5 hours from Gainesville to Hibachi Express (for a 3 hour total drive both ways) and when I arrived I noticed her quite defensive. I was shocked when in a very rude way she pretended she didn't know the details of the photoshoot refusing to prepare the 10 dishes asking me if I was going to pay for them. I tried very politely to explain her that this was the very first time I had such question because always the restaurant owners and managers have everything ready for the photoshoot. She kept asking, yelling actually (like if she was going to go to bankruptcy for preparing those dishes) who was going to pay for those dishes. I tried to explain her that preparing the food is her investment to sell more and that all the information was in the email she got from Doordash on August 23. I showed her the email I got on August 23 confirming the photoshoot and I know they, at the restaurant, also receive an email confirming it so I asked her to look for a Doordash email received on August 23. All my suspicions about all this drama being a trick to make me to pay for the 10 dishes got confirmed when I was standing next to her, looking at her phone and she was showing the emails from August 21 and 22, and then scrolling very fast to the last emails received. I asked her directly why she was skipping the emails from August 23 and she did exactly the same thing a second time. I asked her again why she was skipping the emails received on August 23 and to scroll slowly from 22th to 23th. Finally she did that and there was the email from Doordash, clearly previously opened. I asked her to open it again and I showed her the paragraph where it says clearly about having ready her 10 most popular dishes. She quickly put her phone in her pocket and in a extremely rude way she yelled that if I can get pictures from the pictures in the wall. I am attaching a picture from the restaurant and those posters with food items you see on the windows, she had those also inside and those are the pictures she wanted me to take pictures of. I asked her why she made me to drive all the way from Gainesville if everything was clear in the email and in the call I told her very clear what I was going to do... her response was more yelling but now some angry words in Chinese to a man sitting behind the counter. Honestly, I felt like I was in a Chinese movie being yelled by a bully and I left. I deserve to be paid my $60. I did my job. I called, I planned, I coordinated, I drove there... I did everything and it is not my fault hat she was a trickster pretending she didn't know she needed to prepare the food for the photoshoot and wanting me to pay more than how much I am getting paid to do this job. I deserve to be paid my $60.
