Description:

A touch of light as the last bit of daylight fades away. Was a long day clearing limbs on the timberline trail with the PCTA. Arriving back at the trailhead, the conditions looked very promising for a stellar sunset. Arriving home, this scene was on my mind. But first, errands must be ran. But, do i have enough time? After a quick shower, I've realized, its either drive into sandy or drive out to the lake. Seeing that the weather conditions were near perfect, and my gut telling me to hit the lake, I've figured the lake was more important and errands can wait. Throw my gear into the car and pickup dinner on the way. Arriving just in time for the sunset! Knowing exactly what composition I've wanted, and how the final image should be, setup went rather quickly. Then a few moments later, show time. The clouds began to roll in, before suddenly, a sliver of light right in the middle of the mountain opens up. A Beautiful, bright pink strip, beginning to grow bigger and bigger up the mountain. Eventually settling on a bright delight at the summit. The clouds continue to dance around so gently, showing off it's beauty to anyone in view. A gut feeling has paid off, this was one of the greatest sunsets at the lake I've seen in a good while.
