I want an image that can be used to convey the idea of something being patched up temporarily, rather than properly repaired. The inspiration image is perfect but we don't have reproduction rights. I am happy for the reference image concept to be copied - I'm not looking for originality. Prefer natural light (not mandatory) and not 'overly processed': we don't want the photographic technique to distract from the metaphor.

Closed because I could not find the right visual for this project

Thanks to everybody for the images. In the end it proved more difficult than we expected to capture the exact mood of the original reference image.

8 years ago - Thanks everybody for all the great shots! The important thing here is so make it clear that an attempt has been made to fix something old that is broken and will almost certainly never be new again. We want it to feel a bit hopeless: a vain/forlorn attempt to cling to past glory.
