What's there to say? Taken from my myspace:

From Metropolis Magazine (Tokyo); 2005:-
Coming up in a UK R&B scene that is hungry for fresh young talent; Cory Heywood is the real deal. Combining sit-down-and-think lyrics with reassuring, rich vocal tones and show-stopping dance moves, many have earmarked this young Londoner to be the future of the UK R&B scene. Born in the West Midlands of England and raised in South London, Cory Heywood has been wowing audiences with his talents since his early teens, performing live shows at clubs across the UK while more recently, travelling to Japan for a year of promotion. Toted as "the total package", the singer songwriter has been attracting indie label interest in the UK, and has attracted major label interest in Japan already. ~ Upon discovering young Cory's talents, his mother began contacting numerous producers and promotors, attempting to make his talent known. Her efforts landed Cory in the studio with Roger "Double R" Russell (Lee Ryan, So Solid/Romeo, Maxwell) and Lorraine Cato (of UK R&B fame), where he cut his first professional track, "Ain't No Way (I'ma Let U Go)". The bringing together of singer/songwriter (Cory himself) and Grammy-nominated songwriter (Double R) produced a track that is centered around a well-known topic, but then covers the lyrical content with a new, fresher sound. Cory has compared the track to a hybrid of UK and J-R&B; but that the sound is strictly fresh. While attempting to bring a sweet, long-lost sense of uniqueness to the genre through his vocal abilities, songwriting remains very important to him, and he is currently in the process of writing material for his debut album, "At 35,000 Feet". He also plans to release a mixtape in Q1 2006, entitled "Check In". Watch this space.
