Creative Statement

I have been behind the camera as a professional, freelance, and starving artist for almost 40 years. From studio and environmental portraiture, table top products, weddings, team sports, and special events (I was once hired to photograph at a WWII fighter pilot diner at an airplane museum). Through all the years there has always been one subject that was my favorite and that is nature. Now retired from photographing people, I have turned my attention and my lenses to the natural world around us. By combining my portaiture style with my love of nature, I now creare what I call "Portraits of Nature." I live in lower Minnesota with my awesome wife and our two "special needs" dogs.
