Creative Statement
Alvin L. Tatum Jr. is a wedding and event photographer in the Coastal Virginia area. He is a member of the Professional Photographer’s of America and a 20 year Navy veteran who has literally traveled around the world and through those adventures has amassed tons of inspiration and an eye for capturing the candid moments. In 2014 he was the photographer for the annual American Psychological Association conference in Washington D.C. He’s done work for the Limited clothing line and was the official photographer for the Scandal clothing line release in D.C. He did work for Fox in association with the newly released Empire television drama.
In January 2015 he was selected by Thumbtack Inc. to be a representative for them at the 2015 Small Business Roundtable meeting at the White House in Washington D.C. He is the contract photographer for BASF chemical company in Suffolk, VA. And he was recently hired by Hair Cuttery to cover their 2015 Convention in Richmond, Virginia. Not to mention he’s done weddings on both coast.
