They’re a beautiful mix of cool and fire
Keep you grounded, take you higher
Erin’s daughters brighten up our world
They’ve pride in the generations old
Their mothers taught them to be bold
I love Irish American Girls
They’re not for the man who is faint of heart
Who need always have control
For they will surely speak their minds
And still retain your soul
They’ll not shy away if they think you’re wrong
Or you need to learn the way
But a man with an Irish Yankee lass is a lucky man today

They’ll quick put a knot upon your head
And then comfort you in pain
They’ll laugh as you struggle up the hill
Then compliment your gain
They’ll fight for a lover right or wrong
Even when it’s not deserved
And you know that an Irish Yankee lass
Is not easily unnerved

They’re born with the strength of the women past
And they hold it as a right
They love with a passion deep and true
With a bond to hold it tight
They find in the gaze of looking back
The road that lies ahead
And the eyes of an Irish Yankee lass
