Creative Statement

I am a published and professional photographer with a range of experience that dates back to shooting film in the mid 90's. I "borrowed" my dads old Pentax and didn't give it back! As an Infantryman in the US Army I would frequently use my camera to capture the human interests in a gritty time of conflict. After moving from my Infantry unit in Washington I was assigned as the company photographer for the US Army Combatives School in Columbus, GA. Capturing high action moments in Mixed Martial Arts tournaments and the occasional portrait and group photo with dignitaries and professional UFC fighters. After retiring from the Army I completed my Associates Degree in Computer Science, studying a lot of Adobe software including Photoshop. Since moving back to the Tulsa area, my wife and I had our first child. Photos of her have been a huge influence on my career, as any proud parent can relate.
